Toast your own nuts and seeds.
I do mine in cast iron, dry - no oil.
I’m so glad I took the time to test these nuts.
Pumpkin and sunflower seeds are universally low reactive for most.
Almonds too, but for some they aren’t friendly.
I also have cashews and pecans here.
ALL store-bought roasted nuts are high reactive.
So, I buy mine raw, then toast.
Because the truth is, toasted tastes way better than raw.
Nut/seed butters are rad too, but most are roasted so we must check labels.
Nuts and seeds are a vital source of my lunch proteins as my sweet spot is 20g. Pumpkin seeds pack a whopping amount at 9g per ounce.
There are so many choices right now when it comes to how to eat, diet, this, diet that, cutting food groups, buying pre-made meals, new virtual workouts, etc.
Every weight loss company is working hard to grab your attention - something or someone is going to succeed at sweeping you off your feet and into the new year goal setting whirlwind.
How about this?... How about whatever you decide on choosing to help you start off 2021 like 2020, and 2019, and the January's before these years...
How about you decide that what you are purchasing is not a program, it's not a plan, it's not a piece of equipment...
What you decide on is really your investment in:
What you will become is persistent.
What you will achieve is consistency.
The rest of the side effects you are after will happen.
What if you continued progressing through all circumstances - good and bad?
I am certain it would be a damn good return on your money.
And I'll leave you with one last tip - there is someone out there that has accomplished what you WANT for yourself. Someone you resonate with, reach out, ask them how, follow them, there is amazing power in surrounding yourself with those going in the same direction you desire.
I built a business while I built consistency in my fitness and nutrition.
I strengthened my mindset as I struggled through my mom dying and my brother being lost at sea.
I found a solid community of sisterhood, of people moving in the same direction I wanted to go.
I increased our combined income as I decreased the junk we were eating.
I did not happen in the blink of an eye. And often I think - what if I hadn't started? What if I let MY fears and doubts talk me out of trying? What if I quit every time I had a bad day, hit a plateau (in my business growth or my health), or stopped because someone judged me, didn't agree with me, or told me I was nuts?
Consistency, resilience, perseverance - are not canceled.
These were are things I desired that were simply trapped and even untapped.
I just kept showing up and what if you were to do the same? For yourself? For those you love? Showing up for your desires, how about that one?
I know without a doubt in my bones that you can put blinders on, you can turn your cheek to naysayers, you can reply by not replying to those that might judge you.
Because I'm here to tell you 2 things -
1. If I can, so can you.
2. There are far more people who will be inspired by you than there are who you may think will judge you.
Give your energy to those that matter, not to the 2 people who's opinions you are worried about.
A year from now is going to come whether show up or sleepwalk.
Can you see yourself? Can you imagine how different you can feel from the inside out?
Imagine what it would feel like with a wonderful community supporting you and your desires, every darn day, rather than being sabotaged, by yourself and/or others. Imagine having the loving mindset of saying, "I deserve this".
